《平凡的世界》中的每一个爱情故事,都如一场三月初雨,有着朦胧诗意的美丽,却也带着料峭春寒的哀伤。小说中几个主要的女性角色,都有一段独具黄土高原气息的爱情,但无一例外,等待她们的都是悲剧。柔情善良的知识女性田润叶,因为善良而放弃了自己真正的爱情;豪迈奔放的时代青年田晓霞,命中注定她火热的爱情没有圆满的归宿;勤劳贤惠的农村女性贺秀莲,她灼热爱情的含义更多的是责任和感恩;其他如郝红梅、孙兰花以及那个等待在草原上的女孩,她们的爱情,无论是青梅竹马的美好、激流涌动的浪漫,还是传统理念的婚恋,又或是懵懂无知、牺牲自我的冲动都有着朴素的美丽,也都带着绵绵的哀伤。

Every love story in " The Ordinary World" is like the rain at the beginning of March,with the beauty of the misty poetry as well as the sadness of the cold spring. The main female characters in the novel have a romantic love with the thick atmosphere of the loess plateau,but all of them are tragic. Tian Runye,gentle,kind-hearted and intellectual,gave up her true love because of her kindness; Tian Xiaoxia,bold and generous,was also destined to lose a happy ending for her fiery love; He xiulian,a hard-working and virtuous rural woman,is more responsible and grateful than her passionate love. The love story of other girls like Hao Hongmei,Sun Lanhua and the girl waiting on the grassland,all have simple beauty with continuous sorrow,regardless of sweethearts beauty since childhood or passionate romance,traditional concept of marriage or impulsion to sacrifice for love.
